Current bid $28,000, 12 bid, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar E-Type, 4.2 -- 80,622 miles. This is an exceptional automobile and has been in my family for 17+ years. The original owner is a retired Navy Captain who brought the car back with him on his last deployment overseas in 1967. The finish is black and it has black leather interior. There are no holes, rips -- it is a truly a head-turner and is in impeccable condition. My father was a Jaguar collector and this was the last car in his collection. All mechanical work was conducted by a member of the San Diego Jaguar Club. The car runs like a dream and has plenty of spunk. It is garaged and driven approximately 200 miles a year. Other items included are a custom car cover, assorted books and spare parts. THIS CAR IS A TREASURE & MUST GO TO A GOOD HOME. WE MUST BE GUARANTEED THAT IT WILL BE LOVED AND FOREVER

I am now the lucky current keeper of this outstanding E-type. I have owned prior E-type's but the E-type is a true original E-type.
I have been fortunate to make contact with the original purchaser who was best friends with the father of the family I purchased the E-type from.
This E-Type is so original it's mind blowing, un-restored, matching numbers and colour (Confirmed by Jaguar/Daimler Heritage), tool kit, documentation etc.. The list goes on. It's a time warp.
I am very proud to be the next keeper.
There are very few E-Types that can compare to this E-type for an original un-restored E-Type.
Pictures don't do this E-Type justice.
There is only one colour for an E-Type and that is BLACK not the stereo type red!
Why were the last E-types painted in black. Rare Jaguar cats in the wild are ....BLACK.
May be Sir William Lyons might know R.I.P.

A true beauty and you're absolutely right, there's nothing like a black Etype...I ought to know having ordered and owned 1E32642 in 1966 in black/black trim. Your pictures bring back great memories.
Check out 1E32642 as some of the pictures were taken a couple days after initial delivery in CT.
I'm still trying to find it again.

Update- I have done quite a lot of work on the jag since purchase, including the drivetrain from trans back. I have changed rear gears to 3.07, all rear suspension rubbers. Stainless exaust, 4 piston caliper upgrade , replaced interior components, mats and some hardura parts. The greatest improvement has been a respray. Have replaced most of the rubbers and fixed all the little things during re-assembly. I now know it intimately and feel i have made it my own. Will due an engine rebuild later this year, it uses a lot of oil. Will post some pics when i work out how. cheers Adrian

Latest update, Have just completed a comprehensive engine rebuild. The motor had not been reconditioned as i had been told. That pleased me knowing it had not been tampered with. Also rebuilt the front end, dismantled the gearbox , replaced some bearings and seals and fixed anything that needed it. An interesting discovery i made , the throttle was only opening to about 3/4 of it's travel. It appeared to have been like that since new. might be worth checking yours! The car was great before, now it is absolutely fantastic. Only remaining thing to do is a bigger bore s/steel exaust system and a new set of tyres.
