Ebay item 10/3/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-FHC-Series-1-4-2-coupe-matching-number ...
Current bid $10,100 reserve not met, 7 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Matching numbers Jaguar XKE coupe is a great restoration project as the car is unmolested, straight and mostly rust free. The car was last registered in 1986 in Alabama and put into dry storage by the estate. The family had owned the car for 36 years! Note that this is the two person coupe and NOT the 2+2.
1967 was the last year of the series 1 e-type. During 1967 the headlights were redesigned and were no longer covered in order to meet USA regulations. This car is one of the last 1967 e-type that still had the covered headlights. The color combination of Opalescent silver blue and dark blue interior is extremely attractive and I would strongly encourage the purchaser to leave this car in its originals colors. In fact, although the car looks rough in the photos I would only paint the exterior and clean the painted surfaces in the engine compartment and door jambs. Also much of the original interior can be salvaged. You can install a new interior kit as they are readily available but a large premium is being put these days on originality and I would only replace the minimum required and clean up the rest.
The paint on the car might be the original. The car has been sitting for almost 25 years and therefore assume all the mechanicals will need to be refreshed. As mentioned before, this is a matching numbers car and the engine head and block are original and match the data plate. This car has the 4.2 liter 6 cylinder engine with triple SU carbs and the full synchronized 4 speed manual gearbox.
Luckily the mechanical aspects on an e-type are the easiest to restore as parts are available at reasonable prices. The most important consideration on an e-type is the condition of the body and this is where this car shines. The door gaps are very good, bonnet fit is also very good. I found some rust in the rocker panel under the battery box, which is very typical on an e-type. The rear floors, rockers and doors are very solid. I have not found any evidence of prior major accidents (just the dents and scratches you see in the photos). Just look at the photos of the bottom of the doors; that is all original paint in excellent condition. The engine compartment is very dirty but all components are intact, and the frame rails are straight and rust free. Odometer reads 19,137 miles but I do not know if it is accurate.

again for sale in the Netherlands, asking price is 29950.-€ see: suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/jaguar.e-type.e-type%204.2%20fhc.netherlands/15855 ...
Great project car. Very nice unmoleshed and original rust free body with only minor rust under the battery tray.
Matching numbers, all original and complete and comes with Heritage Certificate.
This series 1 FHC was built in November 1966 and delivered through Jaguar Cars New York to its first owner Gary Lee Almy, Nebraska USA.
The original specification was Opalescent Silver Blue paint with Dark Blue interior trim.
Perfect candidate for an easy restoration.
Please contact us at any moment to make an appointment to view this E-type in our showroom in Bilthoven, The Netherlands.
