Sold 2 hours and 30 minutes after being listed on E-Bay(330563633685) for the buy-it now price of $23,000. "1967 Jaguar E-Type Very Complete & Original. We are offering for sale a Willow Green Series One E-Type 2 place coupe. It is a 70,984 mile car that has been off the road since 1981. This body style looks even better than the E-Type roadsters. This is the last year of the covered headlight cars. The engine is stuck, we assume from sitting so long. This is a matching numbers car and will require a complete restoration. It is an exceptional car to start with to build a show car. It has only light spots of surface rust where the paint is not present. The pictures make any surface rust look worse than it is in reality. The floors are very solid. The bonnet is great except for some minor filler in the lower underpanel from parking block damage. Most of the paint appears original on the top and front. There are areas of lacquer touchup and repaint scattered on the car that have faded at different rates. This is a very solid car with great subframes and an original interior that still smells of leather. No mice have lived in this car so the inside is in excellent condition and smell. This black interior is very good, original, and could all be reused except the seats. The headliner is discolored from age. The car is so untouched that the engine bay looks to still have all the original hoses and hose clamps. From what I can tell this car is complete except for the fuel pump, its vinyl covered access panel, the lower air filter mount and the plug wires are non-original. The exhaust is also missing from the manifolds back. The original jack is present. The spare tire well is excellent and dry. The chrome is all present and in good condition to rechrome. Restore it yourself and have a wonderful E-Type."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
