Seen on eBay, 5/2003. Ad reads (in part):
"1,205 FHCs produced in 1967 This one is the 40th to last Series 1 Fixed Head coupe (FHC) built, Left Hand drive.
Primrose Yellow with original black leather interior, with black carpeting.
Changes to date:
new alternator
headers instead of exhaust manifolds – adds 10 to 15 bhp
new exhaust system (Walker mufflers), with new chrome tailpipes.
New battery – within 20 months
New electric antenna – not installed
Correct Jaguar Seat belts – not installed
Ray-o-dot style mirrors – not installed
Locking gas cap
New center motif badge, choke knob
Old exhaust manifolds included in sale
Original air filter included in sale
Car cover included in sale
E-type drives well, does not leak oil any more than a normal XK-E. Nothing wrong with the vehicle as it sits. Can be driven for jaunts of 50 to 100 miles as it is currently.
Needed to go past the 100 mile limit:
New hoses – Terry’s Jaguars, XK Unlimited, SNG Barratts – all sell as kits.
New header tank – has some pin hole leaks in it, therefore it does run somewhat hot at times.
Needed to become totally pristine:
New paint – XK-E was repainted somewhere along the line
Eventually new sills – inner and outer; floors. All 6 major parts are readily available for the above or where they get the parts – Martin Robey in the UK. Will be more than happy to supply phone numbers, addresses, etc. upon sale.

Not likely the "40th to the last 1967 fixed head coupe built" as claimed. The last 1967 fixed head coupe would be 1E34582. More likely an early open headlight car with a bonnet swap since serial number is about 100 units past the change from covered headlights which took place at 1E34120 according to Jaguar build records.
