This 1967 Jaguar XKE is a Series I coupe that was acquired by the seller in 2015, reportedly after 45 years with the previous owner. The car is finished in silver over a red interior and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a Pioneer stereo unit with Bluetooth connectivity. Service and refurbishment work under current ownership included a repaint in 2016 as well as a replacement clutch, slave cylinder, brake components, and shock absorbers. This Series I coupe is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, a removed Becker AM/FM radio unit, service records, and a clean Delaware title in the seller’s name.
Produced in April 1967, the car features open headlights and was finished in Opalescent Silver Grey from the factory. The body was refinished in 2016, and additional equipment includes a driver-side mirror, hood louvers, chrome bumpers with overriders, and polished central exhaust outlets. Chrome components were refurbished under current ownership, and dents were repaired according to the seller. Stone chips are visible around the grille, and blemishes are noted in photos around the windshield trim and rear hatch as well as the trailing edge of the hood.
The 15” knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Michelin X tires. Replacement brake components are itemized in 2017 service records included in the gallery below.
The cabin features low-back seats upholstered in red with a matching center console, door panels, carpets, and floor mats contrasted by a black dashboard. Equipment includes lap belts, a heater, and a Pioneer stereo unit with Bluetooth connectivity that is wired to a pair of Kicker speakers. A dark spot on the backrest of the passenger seat is shown in photos.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock beside a central cluster of auxiliary gauges and toggle switches. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added by the seller.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque when new. A replacement radiator was installed in 2021. The seller notes oil seepage from the rear main seal.
Power is supplied to the rear wheels through through a four-speed manual transmission. A clutch kit was installed along with a replacement slave cylinder in 2016, and a replacement dual exhaust system was installed under current ownership.
The engine number 7E13108–9 is stamped on the engine block and the cylinder head and matches the sequence on the car’s chassis plate as well as the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.
