Current bid $14,999.99 reserve not met, 5 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar E Type XKE model two place coupe Series 1.5.
This car has been garaged for the past 10 years in California and is in excellent condition. It has only had three owners (the second and third being father and son). It has had a complete engine overhaul and is excellent running condition. The exterior has been completely detailed and is in pristine condition. All matching numbers. Current California license plates and registered through Aug 2008.
It has 246bhp, a 4,235 cc inline six-cylinder engine with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. The wheel base is 96 inches. Left hand steering column. The tire tread and interior are all in outstanding condition. And this car is a blast to drive!
Correction: there have been 5 owners, not 3. The last two owners were father and son.

Interestingly the tranny from this car is on ebay 10/20/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Good-used-Jaguar-XKE-4-speed-transmission-EJ15612-/13043 ...
Tranny said to be in Highland Park, Illinois.
Comes complete with Bell Housing (No shift fork). This transmission was removed to be replaced with a modern 5 speed transmission; it works fine, but an overhaul and reseal is always a good idea. The oil was recently drained and replaced. EJ151612
