Car offered at:
www.stableltd.com/inventory.aspx

Sellers description:
Serial/VIN #1E34899
Chassis #1E34899; Engine #7E14804-9. One could look for a long time before succeeding in duplicating this car. It was sold new to Lt. Col. Donald Flanders while stationed in Germany. He brought the car home with him in the 1970’s and eventually stopped using it before passing away. His widow sold the car to a Jaguar specialist who performed a nut-and-bolt restoration, won several First Place Awards with it and scored 99.91 points in Jaguar Club of North America judging in 2002. He then sold the car to an old-time customer of ours who has driven the car fewer than 1,000 miles in his 5 years of ownership. Finished in fabulous deep blue with blue leather, the car was built in November, 1967 with a Series I 265 horsepower, gold-head, triple carburetor engine and is fitted with 15” chrome “knock-off” wire wheels. It is accompanied by its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, has covered just 45,830 miles in its 40 years and has a full tool kit and all manuals.
Price $ 72,500

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
