Ebay item 4/29/04 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $10,100.00 (Reserve not met), 6 bids, 4 days left in auction. 100k miles on the odo.
Sellers comment:
Offered for auction is a 1968 Jaguar XKE coupe, finished in a beige exterior with light tan leather. This "survivor" coupe was originally a California car from new, and has been in the same family since 1968. The car has always been maintained as a daily driver, a restoration in progress, if you will. This E type is fitted with the factory chrome plated wire wheels, 4 speed manual transmission, and factory a/c.
The car is in very good condition. It runs and drives well, and has been maintained for reliability. The original 4.2 liter engine has benefitted from a complete overhaul, which included rebuilding or replacement of all the internal rotating components. The cylinder head was also completely rebuilt with hardened valve seats for use with unleaded fuel. The clutch was replaced at this same time. The trans and differential are in very good working order. The brake system has recently been addressed and rebuilt and serviced as necessary. The exterior is an older respray over the original Golden Sand factory finish. The air conditioning is complete with the exception of the compressor. The interior, dash and instruments are all in excellent condition.
Please note, this is not a 2+2.but a true 2 passenger fixed head coupe'.

Sellers description:
I have owned this car since 1980 (26 years). This car runs extremely well and I have had minimal mechanical problems. I have treated the car with the upmost care, driving it only approx. 1,000 miles per year and keeping it located in a warm weather climate.
The exterior of the car is Beige and in excellent condition, with minor scratches and dings. The interior of the car is tan, with leather seats and original wood steering wheel. Leather upholstery was completely redone 10 years ago, and has had minimal driving since (1,000 miles per year).
The car has approximately 75,000 original miles, however, only 12,000 miles on a completely rebuilt engine, which was completed in 1995.
This car has been a pleasure to own and drive the past 26 years.
