1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 Coupe for sale. I purchased this car from a family who had owned it since 1971. It was a very good car when I started a cosmetic restoration. It had no rust and no previous damage. The car had been stored for some time and not driven.

Motor, trans, clutch and drive train was in good shape. I installed new brakes, calipers, master cylinder and brake booster. It has new tires and new exhaust. The car just had show quality black paint job with all glass and chrome removed. Some new chrome and a complete rubber kit installed.

Most of the interior is new including seats, carpet, dash pad, door panels, head liner and visors.

Jaguar E-Type 4.2, year 1968.

In 2009 I bought the vehicle from an E-Type collector (second owner) in the USA and imported it to Germany.

The vehicle has an original mileage of 38,000 miles (61,155 kilometres) and is in good condition. In the 1980s, it was professionally repainted, and it is rust-free and accident-free.

The interior is in very good condition, with the original leather seats still in place.

Since 2009, several repairs, overhauls and renewals have been carried out:

- revised rear axle,

- new fuel tank,

- new rings,

- new brake lines, brake discs and brake calipers,

- new stainless steel sports exhaust system,

- with stainless steel exhaust manifolds,

- new 123 ignition installed.

The engine runs clean and smooth, and oil pressure holds at 40 pounds (2.8 bar) after warming up.

The Type E is in working order and comes with a data sheet for the German TÜV (equivalent to MOT).

It is recommended to view the vehicle near Hamburg, Germany before bidding.
