Ebay item 9/6/11

Current bid $10,995, no reserve, 5 bids 7 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
VIN: 1E35568
This 1968 Series 1 1/2 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe was recently discovered and it is amazingly sound and rust free. The current owner removed the fuel tank and had it boiled out and coated. A new fuel pump was installed and the Stromberg carbs were rebuilt. Other recent replacements include the brake master cylinder and booster as well as the chrome above the headlites. There is a spare rim for the car not shown in our images

With some fresh fuel and a battery it started right up and ran smoothly with no smoke or noises. We were able to move it around for the photos under its own power and the clutch operates smoothly. The brakes stopped the car, but barely. In our opinion this car is a perfect candidate for a restoration project.

There is very minimal history on this vehicle. The ID plate appears to read as follows: Engine: 7E474529, Gearbox: KE1384, VIN: 1E35568, Body: 4E27472

As with all of our eBay Motors listings we try to let the photographs tell the story about the vehicles that we are selling. If you study our multiple images carefully you will see exactly what this car is all about.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
