As at the date of entering this Car Number into XKEData, this 2+2 E-type is also incorrectly entered as short wheelbase FHC 1E21070.

As previously added photos indicate, the black 2+2 with GPW 223D plates and strange red pinstriping was used (and apparently destroyed onscreen) in the 1975 film Brannigan, set in London - www.imcdb.org/vehicle_98207-Jaguar-E-Type-1966.html. A silver 2+2 in rough condition surfaced in 2011 with GPW 223D plates, auctioned at Coys Auction Ascot 8 October 2011 with accompanying pictures associating it as the Brannigan car - www.classicdriver.com/en/car/jaguar/e-type-si/1966/148937 .
This silver semi-derelict was bought by a Scottish buyer who "painstakingly" restored it to black (without the red pinstripes), but apparently DVLA would not re-issue the GPW 223D registration despite his protracted attempts, so it received HAU 727D plates. HAU 727D was auctioned online on 7 March 2025 for a winning bid of £45,100, including a Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate but without any Brannigan reference in the listing - collectingcars.com/for-sale/1966-jaguar-e-type-series-1-4-2-2-2-fhc-1 .
Both the 2011 and 2025 online listings currently provide a selection of additional photos.
