E Type Jaguar 2+2 Auto. Carmen Red, Full Length Sunroof, Wire Wheels,

Black Leather Interior.

Well, what can I say these cars speak for themselves, stunning to look at, great fun to drive, and if you like to stand out.......

As you can see from the pictures she is an early model having the benefit of rear quarter bumpers giving a much sportier look than the later series 2.

This model in particular is the most practical of all E types, maybe not the most desirable, but definatley the most practical.

With the sunroof fully retracted and all windows open it is a great compromise to having a roadster with the added bonus of being able to take the family with you.

My kids are 13 and 10 and absolutley love it,although things are getting a little tight for my older boy, hence the reason for this ( believe me) reluctant sale.

It has MOT until next August and is, of course tax exempt.

This car is quite a rare one in that it is one of only 404 rhd series 1.5 autos made, most of these early 2+2 auto's where lhd for the foreign market.

One wonders how many of these uk models survive.

I have owned this car for 2 years and it really has been like a dream come true to own a car as beautiful as this, but times and circumstances change.

This car is not a show car nor is she immaculate, but she really is a lovely looking car in superb all round condition bearing in mind her 40th is just around the corner!

Mechanically she is fine, with good psi and low running temp.

Bodywork has evidence of repair but in my opinion this has been done to a reasonable standard.

She has just passed her mot, so she is solid underneath, I have been advised there has been some previous welding done but this is only to be expected for an old Jag.

There is no rust or bubbles on the bodywork.

The leather is all good save for a small repair in the drivers seat, something i didn't notice myself for about a year.

All in all this is a car that has never been subject to a total rebuild but has been maintained and repaired during its life.

If you are looking for an immaculate E Type please don't bid, if you are looking for a basket case to rebuild please don't bid.

If however you are looking for a solid lovely looking practical E type that is a perfectly useable without worrying if it gets wet, then this is the car for you.

I see no reason why this car won't give years of reliable service.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
