Sold by Cathedral Classic Cars of Bielefeld in January 2022. Seller's description below.
www.cathedral-classics.com/jaguar-e-type-series-1/?

History: This left hand drive 2+ 2 Coupe was manufactured on 30th March 1966 and dispatched to Jaguar Cars New York in the United States on 22nd April 1966; the first owner was Paul Vinson. It returned to Europe, specifically Germany in 1987, where it remained as a 1 owner entry on its German title until it was sold to a private collector in 2018 and, who used the car on personal trade plates. In January 2016 the car obtained its historical registration certificate. In August 2017 the Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirmed that the car's current numbers matched the build numbers making it a matching numbers example. Classic Analytics completed a valuation and inspection report and in May 2021 the car passed the TuV German roadworthiness test.

Car: In 1966 it was finished in Golden Sand. At some stage when in the United States it was repainted Carmen Red. The second German owner changed the the car back to its original livery. The finish is not perfect but is still a good example. The interior is finished in the Tan leather trim that was factory fitted in 1966 and now displays a wonderful patina.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
