Ebay item 3/22/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1966-Jaguar-XKE-S1-with-covered-headlight- ...
Current bid $4,050 reserve not met, 6 bids 10 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar XKE 2+2 with a 4.2 and an Automatic. It has been garaged for the last ten + years of its life but is taken out on occasion to drive around in our yard to keep things in good running condition. It does run and drive just fine.
From what we can tell, the car is all original with the exception of the front seats which appear to have Vinyl covers. We dont have any proof of that statement though. We believe it to be all original. We have looked on the identification plate and looked at the number for the engine and and have verified them to be matching numbers. Other than that, we dont know where to find the Chassis number and have been unable to look for the transmission number.
Very little rust on the vehicle in almost all aspects. Pictures should tell the rest of the story. Has five wire wheels included. The tools and manuals that are original to the car were never passed onto us so we honestly do not know of their where-abouts.

I bought the car in mai 2010 and spent 2.5 years restoring it. It is not a complete rebuild but because the car is all original we just repaired all the weak points and put a new interior in it. In November 2012 it is ready to go on the road again. It runs very good, and another piece of beautiful motoring history is saved for the future.
