Sellers description:
Selling this car for my mother. She had this restored back in the early 80's. It has been in storage now for the past 10 years. It has an after market radiator and cooling fan fitted for it for high altitudes, but we still have the original radiator and fan. Needs some work. we drove it in to the garage 10 years ago, and it was purring but it won't start now. The odometer does not reflect actual miles.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE is a 2+2 coupe built during the transition from Series I to Series II production and powered by its original 4.2L XK inline-six, which is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a mix of earlier and later features including interior toggle switches, high-mounted turn signals, dual carburetors, and exposed headlights. Acquired by the seller approximately two years ago, it has since received a new fuel pump and sending unit, clutch master and slave cylinders, brake calipers, heater blower motor, hoses, and emergency brake. This XKE is sold with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a clean Utah title.
The exterior has been repainted in red, though the age of the paintwork is unknown. Wire wheels are mounted with plain hexagonal nuts, and a removal tool is included. Bubbling is pictured near the louvers on the hood. The seller states that the doors do not close tightly due to loose latches, and the seller has provided a video showing the latches which is viewable here.
This April 1967 production example is equipped with open headlights, which would be required for US market cars beginning in the 1968 model year, but retains turn signals and taillights mounted above the bumpers as consistent with previous Series I examples. The bumpers are equipped with tubular overrider bars front and rear.
Originally black, the cabin has been retrimmed with non-standard seat covers, carpets, and a center armrest. The high-backed seats are believed by the seller to be based on the stock items, though the covers have not been removed to inspect the condition of the underlying materials. The headliner has been recovered with a coarse diamond-patterned cloth.
Early style toggle switches are present in the dash, and a leather wrap is fitted to the stock steering wheel. The clock does not work, while the other gauges are said to remain functional. The 5-digit odometer shows 3k miles, but the true total is unknown. An aftermarket radio and speakers are fitted.
The original 4.2L inline-six is equipped with rebuilt dual carburetors, a stock airbox, and the finned aluminum valve covers introduced during the transition from Series I to Series II production. During his ownership the seller has replaced the fuel pump and sending unit, clutch master and slave cylinders, emergency brake, brake calipers, heater blower motor, and heater hoses.
Engine number stamping 7E 53294-9 is visible on both the cylinder head and engine block and corresponds to the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission, which the seller notes is of the correct type but does not appear to be original. Additional photos of the underside are provided below to show the condition of the suspension components, floors, pinch welds, and exhaust.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the original production date, configuration, and red over black color scheme.
