Car listed for sale on EBay:

    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

    Description

    Jaguar : XKE
1968 Jaguar XKE Coupe - Restored, Great Car

    Miles: 0 Doors: 2 doors
    Transmission: Automatic Interior: Beige/Tan
    Engine: 8 - Cyl. Year: 1968
    VIN Number: 1E28150 Exterior: Beige/Tan

Vehicle Description: This 1968 Jaguar XKE Coupe is a beautiful sports car when restored to its full splendor. It entered our family when my dad purchased the car approximately five years ago. It was in terrible mechanical condition (it did not even run), interior, and exterior condition. My dad rebuilt the transmission, 302 hp V-8 Ford engine, and radiator over the course of five years. (This explains why I put zero miles for the mileage; the odometer reading is shown in one of the pictures.) Many of the hoses are brand new, and new front-end ball joints were installed. Various other parts were also purchased (see pictures). However, my dad passed away unexpectedly in November of 2002. I do not know much about cars, let alone the mechanics of one. My mom and I simply want to let go of "the fruits of his labor." Included in this auction are the various parts of the car and the stack of manuals (in other words, everything you see in the pictures).

Vehicle Condition: The car, as mentioned, has a newly rebuilt 302 hp V-8 Ford engine from a kit that was originally installed in Texas. The engine has zero miles on it. The car also has installed a new transmission and new radiator. Shocks were also purchased, but not installed. The exterior and interior need a little "tender love and care!" It needs a new paint and chrome job, and a little bit of bodywork on the bumpers and front grille. The interior door panels have been removed and were about to be repaired (this explains why the panels are detached from the car in the photos). Some upholstery work needs to be done. Summary: Mechanically, the car runs beautifully, but exterior and interior work could use some quality garage time!

Zero bids, starting price at US $5,999.99 (Reserve not met)

This car was offered to me now and is supposed to be in Sevilla/Spain. The pictures show a complete different car, the Engine is supposed to be original. How could it be?

    Be careful,
I had offers from even concours cars wich were according to the seller in spain. The seller even mailed me his passport and title. But the car was just wonderful and thenprice was far to low, so I became reluctant, checked in internet and found the car was owned buy a gentleman in france and not for sale.
The guy from spain told me he is out off country and for money reason had to sell the family owned car.
I would have no risk, I should have paid to a trust, he then would organize the shipping, and only when I agree after having seen the car, the trust would transfer him the money.
And these stories happened actually twice to me and also to a friend of my.
Hard to believe but it is the truth.

    How is your case?
    Let me know.

    Guten Tag,

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
