history This car was imported from the USA and converted to RHD in the early 90's. It is quite literally the best 2+2 we have seen. We believe it retains all its original panel work which have never been near a welding torch. The car has benefitted from a bare metal respray in its original beige colour, plus a full retrim in connolly hide.

Upgrades include ss exhaust and 4 pot caliper front brakes.

A rare opportunity to acquire this quality vehicle at a modest cost.

Auction description:
Exported in 1968, this E Type 2+2 fixed head was repatriated from a claimed to have been dry weather US state. Back home, chassis number 1E78363 has been converted from L to RHD. The entrant claims the original panels have been retained during refurbishment, which has included bare metal respray in original beige and new interior, again in beige. According to the vendor, as presented today, the car is to full UK market specification with classic 4.2-litre XK six having triple SU carburettors.
Current overall condition of KBV 841F is described as excellent with handling reportedly equally as good, while being a Jaguar means that spares availability should never be a problem

This is now my car. I purchased it at the Coys auction at Blenheim Palace in June this year. I have had her fully checked over by Southern Classics. She appears to be very sound. There are a few things to sort out over time, however, as one would expect. I have done about 1,000 miles since June, inlcuding going to the Goodwood Revival two days running. I am looking forward to a long ownership of this fun car for the family. I will add some photos when I work out how to do so!

After enjoying the car for the past 14 years I have decided that it's time for a major makeover. It is currently being stripped right down, and will be rebuilt and upgraded during the next few months. The structure has proven to be as solid as thought, so there is virtually no welding to be done - pretty much only the jacking points and the doors, which may need new outer skins. The bonnet requires no work at all. The engine is in excellent condition, but the triple SUs need to be completely rebuilt. A new 5 speed gearbox is going in, partly to get a higher ratio top gear for lower revs on the motorway. I had changed the rear diff ratios 10 years ago, but it was still pulling about 3,500 revs at 70 mph, and that's way too many. The front brakes are being replaced with Fosseway items, the suspension is being refurbished and new coil-over shocks from M&C Wilkinson are going on. The whole of the interior will be refreshed, and new front seats have been created by combining the original bases with backs from Mazda MX-5 Mk1 seats. These are going to make the car more comfortable and, with proper head restraints, safer. The exterior colour is changing from beige to indigo, and the interior will be red, with dark blue carpets.
