    carbs popping, needs tuning,
one or two little rattles, slight oil leek to track down, wrong
steering wheel, well worn black interior, mileage reads 25800 told genuine,Love it allready, Ron

    Car now offered at:

    Sellers description:
    1968 Jaguar E type Series 2 Roadster.
    Chassis number: 1R1013
    Engine Number: 7R17489
    Registration number: DAD713G

A rare low mileage E type which has covered just 27,000 miles from new!!! The car comes with an assortment of bills & MOT's to back up the very low mileage. A heritage certificate shows it is a matching number car supplied new via Henleys in London & is in its original special order colour of Tangerine.

The car has been maintained without regard to expense by the last two keepers who have lavished care & money on it as required. Most recently was a full re-trim in black leather to replace cracked leather in the original seats. The tool kit is present & correct in the boot. The vinyl top & hood cover are both in excellent condition. A modern CD player is fitted for up to date sound quality.

Four new Pirelli tyres have recently been put on which sit on recent chrome wire wheels. This is a very fine example of a largely original car which has covered extremely low miles. It is absolutely ready for extended summer use. The body & chassis are rot free & absolutely solid having been garaged from new.

Still with Richard Biddulph at 76,000 since he bought it in June. Strong money (and ca. 20K margin!) for a blow-over Series 2 with many missing/badly assembled parts and minimal care during repaint. Probably nice enough at 50-60K if body as described but poor under-bonnet work does not inspire confidence or suggest no-expense-spared maintenance!
