Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE 4.2 roadster.
This is perhaps the most well documented Jaguar you can find. This car has been in the same family since 1975 and I have documentation prior to that. The file on this car is filled with receipts and information on the car from the last 30 years.

The body and paint on this car is flawless and beautiful. It has been repainted in silver by a professional shop that does restorations of this caliber. At that time new weather stripping and seals were installed. I have receipts for the work performed.

The interior is original. It is not in perfect condition and has a couple seems that could use some attention. The top is also original and in good condition. It has had one small repair but is presentable and nice. The top also has a pinhole that’s in a photo. The car has the original AM radio and works well. New tires were put on about 20 years ago and have very few miles. The original tubes were used with the new tires and are possibly original to the car. All gauges are original and work perfectly. The carpet shows some wear but is also original to the car. The original windshield has a couple small scratches from a wiper that rubbed, this has been there since the original owner.

The engine leaks a touch of oil, not sure if there is a Jag that doesn’t. It also burns a touch of oil due to not being driven enough. The original four speed trans was rebuilt using original Jag parts that were located across the country. Many hours were spent in locating original parts to rebuild with. All receipts are in the file for the work performed. The drive train has been serviced by the same shop since the 80’s. I have only put about 1000 miles on the car in the last 10 years. I think it would be good for the car to get driven more. I do start the car regularly and drive a mile or so to lube the drive train. This is an excellent example of a well maintained car that I would trust to drive across the country, and I will if I keep it long enough.

This is not a fire sale. It’s not a sale due to economic turns. I love this car, don’t need the money and wont part with it for less than what its worth to me. I am only entertaining the sale due to other interests.
