Ebay item 1/27/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-1969-jaguar-xke-4-2-series-ii-roadster-/ ...
Current bid US $17,100.00
Reserve not met 4 bids 4 days left in auction. 56k miles.

Sellers description:
Genuine Series II unmolested, except that they pull some trims like headlamps, bumpers, etc. with the intention of painting. They got as far as primer but then the owner passed away and the widow left the car covered in a shed for 7 years or more.
The interior which it looks good and complete is a bid dried. Apparently the car had the heater core leaking and all the moist and water was running on the driver floor board. Which it needs to be replaced. That is the only major repair that needs to be done. Everything is in place from the factory including the factory electrical system, clamps and straps.

We did clean the gas tank , carburetors, fuel pump, adjust new plugs, points and fire right up. It has good oil pressure, but the valve train is a little bid noisy.
Clutch works good, we drove the car around the block , transmission shift very good and is no differential or suspension noises.
The brakes, reservoir were empty, we feel them up, flashing and bleed the system and is actually working, however the car seems to pull to the right when you apply the brakes. Needs to go through the system??

Excellent car for driver or restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
