I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE OF A 1969, JAGUAR, ETYPE, ROADSTER. BASICALLY, EVERYTHING HAS BEEN REDONE ON THIS CAR OVER THE PAST FORTY-THREE YEARS EXCEPT THE TRANSMISSION THAT HAS NEVER NEEDED REBUILDING. THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT AROUND 1984 AND SINCE HAS HAD ABOUT TWO THOUSAND MILES PLACED ON IT. THE HEAD WAS REPLACED WITH NEW VALVE LIFTERS AROUND 1995. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WAS FITTED FOR TRIPLE CARBS WHICH HAVE BEEN REBUILT RECENTLY WITH THE PROPER RUBBER COMPONENTS TO REDUCE DEGRADATION. LATER MODEL RADIATOR FANS REPLACED THE ORIGINAL FANS FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE. A NEW HEATER BOX WAS ATTACHED LAST WEEK. I LIVE IN FLORIDA AND NEVER NEEDED A HEATER. AFTER MARKET AIR CONDITIONING WAS ADDED ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO AND HAS BEEN USED ONCE. IN ADDITION, A MUCH MORE POWERUL, CHROME PLATED ALTERNATOR WAS ADDED. THE VALVE COVERS ARE HIGHLY POLISHED FROM PREVIOUS ETYPE YEARS WHICH LOOK BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THE VACUUM RESERVOIR HAD BEEN CHROME PLATED FOR A BETTER APPEARANCE. THE ORIGINAL OIL FILTER CANISTER HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH AN ADAPTER THAT PERMITS SCREW ON FILTERS WHICH ARE LARGER AND MORE EFFICIENT AS WELL AS EASIER TO REPLACE. THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS WERE REPLACED WITH HEADERS THAT WERE JET HOT COATED. THE WISHBONE SUSPENSION WAS ALSO JET HOT COATED. THE FLOORS WERE REPLACED, PRIMED, COATED WITH RUST RETARDENT PAINT AND COVERED IN FLEXIBLE RUBBER IN THE INTERIOR. THE INNER AND OUTER ROCKER PANELS WERE REPLACED. THE DOOR SKINS HAVE ALSO BEEN REPLACED AT THE TIME OF RENOVATION AROUND 1995.THE ORIGINAL MUFFLERS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY ANSA MUFFLERS WHICH LOOK AND SOUND BETTER, AS WELL AS HAVE A LONGER LIFE SPAN. THE BUMPERS WERE RECHROMED WITH AIRCRAFT GRADE CHROME. THE BRAKE CALIPER PISTONS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY STAINLESS STEEL PISTONS. MANY OF THE SCREWS AND BOLTS REPLACED HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH STAINLESS STEEL. THE WHEELS ARE DAYTON WITH STAINLESS STEEL SPOKES.THE SEAT COVERS ARE RECOVERD IN NEW LEATHER AND INTERIOR CARPETING FROM G.W. BARTLETT. THE SEAT FOAM HAS ALSO BEEN REPLACED. RESTORATION HAS BEEN OVER THE COURSE OF SEVERAL YEARS AS A HOME PROJECT. I NEVER INTENDED TO SELL THIS CAR BUT I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IT ONCE OR TWICE OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. ONCE, WAS TO GO TO THE BEACH, WHICH WAS THE ONLY TIME I USED THE AC. THE CAR HAS NEVER SEEN THE RAIN SINCE IT WAS PAINTED ABOUT NINETEEN YEARS AGO. THE CAR PURRS AND IS PROBABLY CLOSE TO 300 HP WITH ALL THE MODIFICATIONS. I DO NOT WANT TO SELL THIS TO A DEALER. I WANT TO SELL IT TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THIS CAR IS AND REPRESENTS. IT'S GREAT FUN TO DRIVE AND IS A REAL HEAD TURNER AND I GET A LOT OF THUMBS UP IN TRAFFIC.

This Series II E-type Roadster is a matching numbers example. Having originally been delivered to Canada, it is a rare 3-Carb SU setup without USA emissions (rather than 2-Carb Stromberg set up as fitted to American delivery Series II E-types), thus it is as delivered new in the UK and Europe and with more horsepower.
It was imported from Canada to Chicago by the first owner's family and given to him as a gift for his graduation from medical school. It was used seasonally while living in Chicago. Years later, having ended his practice, the physician retired and relocated to Miami. The Jaguar travelled South where it enjoyed the warm weather and until being sold to its 2nd owner custodian in recent years.

The 2nd owner, a Florida sports car collector and true enthusiast had the E-type extensively restored. The complete exterior, brightwork, suspension and all mechanicals were restored. This E-type was never in an accident, the body lines and gaps are superb and that of a well cared for E-type. The undercarriage was also superb never having had rust from being used in inclement weather conditions. The interior, in excellent original condition was left as is due to its excellent and only slightly used condition. All parts used in the restoration were new old stock.
A testament to the cars current condition, just prior to being traded to Autosport Designs, Inc. by its 2nd owner towards a more modern Aston Martin, this E-type was shown at a concours event and took home a class win.
This E-type is offered in excellent condition with an extensive history/maintenance file from new. It comes with its original owners manual and dealer service coupon. Having road tested this E-type, I can confirm it runs properly and as it should in every way.
