1969 Jaguar XKE Convertible

Signal Red Jaguar XKE convertible in excellent condition. 3 total owners. Previous owner completed a body-off restoration and engine re-build at 112,000 miles. Current owner has had it since 1999, and has invested an additional $50,000 in detail and restoration to this beauty. Vehicle runs perfect, and all systems are in great working order. Vehicle stored and covered in a garage, and is taken out occasionally to ensure it still drives like a dream. The only non-functional component is the dashboard clock. Last service was extensive (e.g., new brake cylinder, fuel pump, tires, belts, hoses, fluids, re-built transmission, etc.). Invoices are available.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
