This 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster was built on October 13, 1969, and is finished in yellow over black leather upholstery. Power comes from a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a tan convertible soft top, chrome wire wheels, impact bumpers, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2002 and was the subject of a subsequent refurbishment that included repainting the body, refreshing the interior, and rebuilding the engine, transmission, and differential. This XKE is now offered in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, historical documents, service records, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The car was reportedly repainted in its factory shade of Pale Primrose during the aforementioned refurbishment and features a tan convertible soft top. Additional exterior details include a vented hood, a driver-side mirror, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers, window surrounds, and trim. Paint imperfections can be viewed up close in the gallery below, including creasing and chipping at the lower-rear corner of the hood on the driver’s side.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels wear knock-off spinners and are wrapped in Firestone Fuel Fighter tires. A spare wheel and tire are located in the trunk.

The cabin was refreshed as part of the refurbishment and features bucket seats with adjustable headrests trimmed in black leather along with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a push-button AM/FM radio, a passenger-side grab handle, and a locking glovebox

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. A VDO clock and Smiths gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller. The speedometer is inoperable, and total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebuilt in February 2004 by Welsh Enterprises of Steubenville, Ohio, and features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Service in March 2022 included draining the fuel tank, rebuilding the carburetors, and replacing the spark plugs.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was refreshed in December 2004. The seller states the differential has been rebuilt.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate lists a build date of October 13, 1969, as well as the original colors and identification numbers. A portion of the engine block stamping is pictured in the gallery along with the reproduction chassis data plate affixed under the hood.
