Sellers description:
Completely original 1970 Jag XKE roadster, with only 27,000 miles, and factory air conditioning. This is fully numbers matching car in its original and rare color combination of silver metallic with red leather. I purchased the car seven years ago, with the hopes of doing a total restoration, but that has fallen out of reach now. The car is mechanically superb, and runs and drives like a true thoroughbred. It has been the victim of several years of neglect and poor storage, wich has taken a cosmetic toll. If you know these cars, it doesn't take much. However, the car is structurally magnificent, with no deterioration to the body pan or frame rails, and all suspension mounts are perfect! Even the trunk pan is pristine. What you see in the pictures is only light surface where the paint was thin. I hand picked this car out of dozens that I looked at because of the fact that no-one has ever messed around with it, so there is no need to un-do a bunch of crappy patch work before getting to the restoration. The has factory perfect panel fit, including the trunk lid, wich has never been forced or sprung. It would be a perfect candidate for a Jag Heritage Certificate. Finished in its original colors, it will make a stunning show piece, or a proud driver. The car is currently registered and insured, and is totally driveable. I have the correct marker lights and radio console wich is unique to A/C cars. The marker lights were changed by the second owner and are from a Dodge dart apparently. NO BODY ALTERATIONS WERE MADE!
