Sellers description:
For Sale From Private Collection
I Had this 1970 XKE Roadster for the last 10 years and just recently finished the nut and bolt restoration 1500 miles ago. I originally bought a series II car to get all the advanced technology of the XKE's. I upgraded this car with some of the Series I options such as the triple carb set up and the exhaust manifolds and rims and knock offs which enhances the value. The numbers match and the car drives like a dream. I will include the trophy won at JCNA Concours D' Elegance and Atlanta Jaguar Socity Concours D' Elegance. I planned to keep this car for ever and did not send for the Heritage Certificate nor did I get a tool roll.
From the photos you will see a professionally installed sound system which sounds great driving down the road at 70mph. It has an Ipod hook up in the arm rest and a steering wheel wireless remote. The original stero is still in the car to keep the original look.
I am selling this car and others due to changes in life style (New Baby and Wife). So I hope who ever ends up with this car will enjoy it. As you can see from the photos this car is perfect. You can see the car by appointment in Marietta GA.
As always this car is sold in "as Is condition. Georgia is a non title State and it will be sold on a bill of sale with a valid registration.

This 1970 Jaguar XKE is a Series II Roadster that was manufactured in December 1969 and is said to have been refurbished in 2011 before being acquired by the current owner in 2013. It is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue over dark blue leather upholstery and is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six fitted with triple SU carburetors and mated with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes Pertronix electronic ignition, a four-row radiator, a Viper keyless entry and alarm system, a black soft top, chrome knock-off wire wheels, and an aftermarket stereo. This E-Type is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with service records, a flannel car cover, a tonneau cover, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with a black soft top and is said to have been repainted in 2011. Exterior details include chrome bumpers with overriders, exposed headlights, a louvered hood, twin polished exhaust outlets, and a black boot cover. Cracks in the left-front subframe and bonnet support frame were repaired by Steve’s Jaguar Service of Canoga Park, California in July 2016. A flannel car cover and tonneau cover are included in the sale.
Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels wear two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 185-width Vredestein Sprint ST tires. The upper and lower control arm bushings were replaced in addition to the sway bar mounts and end-link bushings in July 2016. The brake master cylinder was also resealed at that time, while the steering column was repaired and the rack overhauled in 2013. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs.
The seats are trimmed in dark blue leather, and amenities include a Viper keyless entry and alarm system with a remote trunk release, lap belts, a faux British-Leyland push-button stereo mounted in the center stack, and a Pioneer stereo and Rockford Fosgate amplifier installed in the trunk and linked with DB Drive speakers mounted behind the seats.
A three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is fitted with triple SU carburetors, Pertronix electronic ignition, a spin-on oil filter, and a four-row radiator, the latter of which was installed in 2016. The clutch master cylinder was also replaced at that time along with the spark plugs.
Engine stamping 7R9687-9 matches the number listed on the chassis plate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox.
