Ebay item# 2433625277
9/20/03
Starting bid $35,000, no bids, 9 days left in auction. 103k miles.

Sellers comment:
This is a nice looking car and a very good driver, in 20 years I havedriven it regularly to work, always having it serviced by Bonnet to Boot in Reseda CA. The mileage may be original but I don't know. More photos can be seen on 101classiccarrental.com.

Vehicle Condition
Very good, but needing some cosmetic TLC.

Auction description:

Vintage Motor Cars of Meadow Brook
1 August 2009
Lot 240
1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster
To be auctioned on Saturday, August 1, 2009
Sold for $34,100
Chassis no. 1R12488

The 1970 Series II E-Type offered here was purchased by the current owner in Carlsbad, California in 1996. Shortly thereafter, the marque experts at XKs Unlimited of San Luis Obispo, California and Golden West Coach, of Whittier, California were engaged to perform a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration that was completed the following year. Today, the Jaguar shows less than 1,000 miles since the restoration was completed, and it remains truly resplendent in Primrose Yellow. This original exterior color works nicely with the black leather interior, black carpeting, black vinyl top and tonneau cover and chrome plated wire wheels, shod in new whitewall tires.

Offered complete with a battery tender and a red fitted cover as well as a number of recent mechanical upgrades, this E-Type remains in wonderful condition and was clearly the recipient of thoughtful and knowledgeable ownership.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
