I purchased the car from Harwood Enterprises in 2005. Since then I have spent about $8,000 to correct things missing in the restoration and to correct problems in the electrical system, clucth master cylinder and oil sump. After many hours in the shop it is now running like a dream.

'm the owner of the car. It's still running great. I plan to upgrade the exhaust system to a "performance type" this winter (2007-2008).

Removed bulky air cleaner from the triple carbs and installed individual air cleaners. Now the car really moves!

Current bid $18,600 reserve not met 8 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Cornelius, North Carolina. 94k miles.
Sellers description:
Completely restored Jaguar E-type Roadster This great Jaguar E-type coupe is in excellent condition. I sold this car in late 2004 and I am now representing it for my client as he has decided to move into another car. This excellent e-type roadster was painted in 2004. Also, a new soft top was added, the chrome was refinished or replaced and new carpeting/trunk kit was installed. The engine was rebuilt prior to 2004 and did not have many miles on the rebuild at the time. In addition, there are several performance upgrades to the car that include; new wiring harness, triple carburetors, stainless headers, electronic ignition and new stainless steel exhaust. This Jag is very fast and there is immediate power once you get on the throttle. Further more, the oil pressure is excellent and the compression is great. The compression of each cylinder is as follows: 1- 145psi; 2-145psi; 3-140psi; 4-145psi; 5-140psi; 6-145psi. This E-type is a nice upper level driver to be enjoyed and driven.
To elaborate on the condition of this car, as I always try to represent my cars as honestly as I can:
Paint/body: The paint is in excellent condition. It was painted in 2004. There are small chips from use, but overall a very nice paint job. Pictures are included when the car came back from paint in 2004. No rust anywhere on this car.
Chrome: The chrome on this car is also excellent. Most of the chrome has been replaced or replated. The chrome wire wheels are new with new knock offs.
Interior: The interior on this car is nice. The seats show some wear and patina, but are presentable and comfortable. They were redone some time ago. The carpet was replaced. The balance of the upholstery looks nice and usual wear from use.
Wheels/Tires: The chrome wire wheels are new with new tires and new chrome knock offs.
Underside/floors: The underside and floors are gorgeous on this car and very clean. The entire underside is all painted body color (red). This is one of the cleaner undersides you will find on an e-type and a jaguar e-type that has actually been driven. Some "show cars" would be envious! In addition, there is brand new stainless steel exhaust on the car as well. The rear springs and rear end are cleaned and detailed. This is just an attractive and clean underneath of this car.
Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is clean. Not overly detailed as it was when the car was sold in 2004, but still extremely nice and clean. The new owner can spend a few hours doing small detailing, but it is not needed. The frame rails under the hood are painted body color as they should be.
Spare Tire Compartment: The spare tire compartment is also very clean and painted body color as it should be. The spare tire is an older spare, but is still functional and looks good. There is an original jack and hammer that come with the car as well.
Overall: This is a nice higher end driver for someone to enjoy. You could take it to local shows and do well. It really can be driven anywhere. This is not for someone who is looking for a trailer queen or a show car. It is an excellent car, but it is not a trailer queen. I have sold and owned a lot of etypes and this is one of the nicer high end drivers you will find. It's a car to drive with all the right driving upgrades! The current owner has driven this car and enjoyed it (as should be done). The year 2011 is the 50th anniversary for these legendary cars. The Series II E-types are desirable and increasing in value. This is a great investment car, which will go up in value as you enjoy this terrific automobile!
This automobile is available for inspection in Cornelius, NC.
