I now own the car and have refurbished the interior. She is running well and is well looked after.

Auction description:

Windsorview Lakes, July 17th 2021

1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster

Lot Number 146 Registration WJB 358H Chassis Number 1R1307 Engine Number 7R6587-9 Odometer reading 90,865 miles Estimate £74,000 - £83,000

UK supplied right hand drive example

Matching numbers

Manufactured on 8th August 1969 and originally supplied by Henlys, this E-Type Series II Roadster is finished in Signal Red and black leather trim. The seats have recently been retrimmed and the car presents in good solid condition. It appears to have been rustproofed from new and she sits proudly on chrome wire wheels. The engine started immediately when requested and runs with good oil pressure. We are advised she drives with no known faults although the vendor has not used WJB 358H of late. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a host of invoices, together with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming this to be a UK supplied right hand drive, matching numbers example. Offered at a sensible reserve although interested parties should note the paintwork could do with being refreshed at some stage. A good solid example of a highly desirable E-Type.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
