Details
The example offered here is a Series Two 4.2, which is said to have covered only 60,000 miles in 34 years. Ownership has been traced back to the original and three other prior to my acquiring the car in 1989. The first owner is stated on the JDHT Heritage certificate, the second identified by his personal plate and the last two from an old style registration document. The car is also offered with a large number of previous MoT certificates.
Acquired by the vendor in 1989, the car has been the subject of much improvement during his ownership, which includes the following. Fully Waxoyled body, all running gear overhauled, including brakes suspension, steering and clutch. All hydraulic fluids have been replaced with silicone based fluids. The interior has been partially restored but retains most of the original fittings and the hood and hood mechanism has been overhauled and replace with a Mohair item.
Very attractive in Wedgewood blue with navy leather, this E-Type is offered with the 60,000 indicated miles warranted, by the vendor, as being correct. The car is said to drive extremely well, is said to be very taught and is offered complete with all of the maintenance records, invoices and receipts.
Note: This description is provided by the vendor and unless otherwise stated is 'Not Verified' by Barons or any person employed by Barons. Prospective purchasers are advised to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of any statements made, whether they be statements of fact or opinion.
Estimate: £20,000-23,000
