For sale at Castle Classic Cars of Wadhurst for £64,995. Seller's description below.
www.castleclassiccars.co.uk/showroom/vehicle/3154/1970/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-2--- ...

This is a lovely Jaguar E Type Series 2 4.2 Coupe which comes to the market for the first time in nearly 40 years. The car had just two owners from new, the last of which bought the car in 1980. The car was treated to a complete body refurbishment in the early 1980s and it has been carefully preserved ever since with very little mileage over the last forty years. The pictures really say it all about this car with fantastic paint and an immaculate and fresh looking interior. The car starts on the button, runs cleanly and pulls well as you would expect. This is a matching numbers home market car with a heritage certificate and MoT to June 2018.

Registration UFN 200H

Did not sell

This Series II E-Type has been in the current ownership since 1980; the vendor, a garage owner, has maintained the car himself and is only the second owner from new. The car retains its original colour combination of Regency Red with a contrasting grey interior and was refurbished with a bare metal respray in the early 1980s; the finish still looks in very good order today and is complemented by a set of chrome wire wheels. The interior was re-trimmed approximately ten years ago and looks smart to this day. We are informed that this Jaguar drives exceptionally well and the mileage recorded as genuine with only, approximately, 2,000 miles being covered in the current ownership! This E-Type will arrive at the sale with its UK V5C registration document, British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and a fresh MoT test certificate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
