Auction description:
Sale 14267 - Important Collectors' Motor Cars and Fine Automobilia, 4 Dec 2006
Olympia, London
Lot No: 681
1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2 Coupé
Registration no. UTH 56
Chassis no. 1R21030
Estimate: £15,000 - 18,000
This unrestored 4.2-litre Series II 2+2 has the desirable manual transmission. The car was much loved by a previous owner who cherished it for several years, before selling and then repurchasing it (after a separation of three years) seven years ago. It is strongly recommended that prospective purchasers inspect the substantial history file, which contains numerous service/maintenance invoices and other documentation. The car is offered with current road fund licence, MoT to December 2007 and Swansea V5 registration document.

Auction description:
Sale 18215 - Collectors' Motor Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia, 11 Sep 2010
Beaulieu Autojumble, National Motor Museum
Lot No: 521
1971 Jaguar E-Type 4.2-Litre Series 2 Coupé
Registration no. UTH 56
Chassis no. 1R21030
Engine no. 7R-14237-9
Sold for £18,400 inclusive of Buyer's Premium
One of the last of its kind manufactured, this 4.2-litre Series 2 Coupé was sold new via Henlys in Bristol and first registered 'TWV 454J'. In 1976 the car was sold to a Mr M Bevan who kept it for the next 12 years. We understand that the speedometer was changed at 30,000 miles; expired MoTs on file dating back to 1977 confirming the total mileage of 64,000. Restored in the late 1990s, the E-Type resided in Cyprus for a few years before being purchased in 2000 by J K Engineering of Biggleswade, from whom it was purchased by the current vendor. J K Engineering have continued to maintain the car, which is described as in generally good/very good condition and driving very well. Finished in Signal Red with black interior, this well documented E-Type Coupé is offered with JDHT certificate, sundry restoration invoices, MoT to June 2011 and Swansea V5.

Not sure what happened to the old listing for this car - it was in XKEdata when I bought it!
