Car returns to ebay 8/1/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type/183904543460

Car has a buy it now price of $63,995 for 28 days, seller europeanmotorstudiogt, car now said to be in Chandler, Arizona, 46k miles.

Seller's description:

European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this lovely highly original 1969 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe fresh out of a 32 year ownership. Rolling off the Coventry Brown Lane factory on September 4, 1968 and dispatched October 24, 1968, this E-Type left the factory wearing Light Blue paint with a Dark Blue leather interior according to the accompanying Heritage Certificate. Having just come out of a 30 plus year ownership in Englewood CO, this matching numbers E-Type is a highly original car that has been extremely well cared for and stored over since new. Having covered only 46,000 miles since new, the beautiful Light Blue paint on this E-Type shows very well for its age showing minor imperfections. There is a small scrape right above the driver side rear wheel, a small ding in the lower driver side rocker, a few small stone chips in the front nose and a couple small chips on the rear passenger side quarter. All of the exterior chrome and trim is all original and shows some lite age but overall shows very well. The chrome wires look great and shined up nicely after a polish. The leather seats are all original with an excellent patina to them with some cracking but all together a nice broken in look and fee. The original wool headliner looks excellent with no stains or tears, the carpets are all original with two original black rubber Jaguar mats. The dash and center console are original and in very good condition. The matching numbers 4.2 liter straight six engine has just undergone a major tune up with fully rebuilt carbs, new fuel pump, new plugs, wires, points, distributor, cap and rotor replacing the originals. New front upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends just replaced the originals and a brand new factory stainless exhaust has just been put on the car. The engine runs incredibly strong and pulls very well through all of the gears. Excellent smooth power comes from the straight six and all four gears are smooth and easy to shift. The clutch feels excellent with no signs of slippage. The brakes feel solid with no noises or fading. The steering and suspension feel very good and solid, free from any noises or looseness. All of the electronics are operating as they should including all of the gauges, exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights and all of the switches. The original radio is also operating. The body of this E-Type is very straight and solid. There are no signs of any prior damage or signs of repair. There is no rust in the body or in the undercarriage, just a very original looking undercarriage. Accompanying the sale of this lovely E-Type Coupe is the original spare tire, original keys, Jaguar Heritage Certificate, original service receipts and some old registration cards.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II coupe that is finished in light blue over dark blue leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ knock-off wire wheels, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a Bell stainless-steel exhaust system, four-wheel disc brakes, a louvered hood, a heated rear window, and chrome bumpers with overriders as well as a heater, a mahogany-rimmed steering wheel, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The car is finished in light blue and features a louvered clamshell hood, a driver’s door mirror, pop-out rear quarter windows, a heated rear window, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The clock does not work, there are cracks visible in the seat leather.

The mahogany-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while supplemental gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The temperature gauge is said to have been serviced and calibrated following the seller’s acquisition of the car.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The car is fitted with a Bell stainless-steel exhaust.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the build date, original colors, and drivetrain numbers. A car cover, a car show award, and tools are also included in the sale.
