Car to be at auction 12/11

Auction description:
Lot n°219
1969 Jaguar E Type 4.2 Series II Chassis No. 1R25762 French Title
The model presented is the two-seat coupe and respects the magic line of the first version. This type E is equipped with manual transmission. The black leather upholstery is original and very well preserved. The motor is that the car had the factory. Its dark color is metallic and the front is personalized at the headlights and hood sticks. The tires are excellent and consistent Michelin XVS. Originally, it was an American version which is in France for twenty years. The E Series II coupe was made 3786 copies with driving on the left, at the same time there were almost 8000 cabriolets and 4287 cut 2 +2 (the family). These figures show that our two-seat coupe version is the rarest of the series II where production took place between August 1968 and October

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
