Sellers description:
I purchased this 4.2 E Type Coupe from the original owner in 1975 in Montreal. It was my daily driver for about 8 years after which I stored it until around 2000. I then had it repainted at a restoration shop just north of Montreal where they restored the exterior and interior to original condition. I had the car delivered to englewod, NJ in 2001 where I then had the engine checked as it was running a bit rough. It turned out that there was a hairline crack in one of the cylinder walls, so an expert Jag shop changed the block for a new one while keeping the rest all original including the heads and triple SU carbs. The cars paint job is perfection and the car runs like a dream except for a slight vibration at certain speeds (the wire wheels may be tuned). The chrome is all original and shows it but i haven't tried any of the polishing products that claim to get it looking like new. The car has a new factory exhaust and tires and the brakes have new rotors and pads. It has the original working Blaupunkt AM FM radio. This car can be a daily driver and runs perfectly. It is 99% retored with some minor details left to finish. Please note the stated milage is not acurate as the speedo stopped working in the early eighties.
