This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe is finished in black over beige leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, and 15″ wire wheels in addition to a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a Sanyo AM/FM cassette stereo, and a heater. Service following the selling dealer’s acquisition included repairing the throttle linkage and replacing brake components and the rear window seal. This XKE coupe is now offered with an Ohio title.
The car was repainted in its current shade of black at some point under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes US-specification headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes that the rear window seal and the left front marker lens were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 195/65 Cooper Lifeline Classic tires. Service in preparation for the sale reported by the selling dealer includes rebuilding the front brake calipers, resurfacing the rotors, and replacing the pads.
The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in beige leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. A Sanyo AM/FM cassette stereo is housed in the aftermarket center console.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Light switches were replaced following the selling dealer’s acquisition. The five-digit odometer shows 73k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The throttle linkage was repaired and the exhaust outlets were straightened in October 2023, per the selling dealer.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The engine stamping matches the identification tag.
The Ohio title carries a “Non-Actual Warning: Odometer Discrepancy” notation.
