Ebay item 5/20/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-/152095765363
Current bid US $10,000, no reserve, 5 bids 6 days left in auction, seller glf2driver, 53k miles.
Sellers description:
Barn/Garage Find. Stored for the last 20 years in mothers garage.
I bought the car in 1979 with approximately 46,000 miles. At that time I had the car completely stripped of paint, any rust repaired, and the car completely repainted. Over the next 15 or so years I put around 10,000 additional miles on the car during the summer months.
In 1995 the clutch first started to show signs of needing replacement and by the summer of 1996 had progressed to a point that it was evident that it had to be replaced. I put the car in storage with the idea that I would find the time to replace it myself over that next winter and spring.
As happens in life too many times, I had great intentions, but just never got around to repairing the car and it has been in storage ever since.
The car has Air Conditioning and a Telescoping Steering Wheel. It also has all five wheel rims and the wheel spinner brass knock-off protective cover (for changing wheels).
The engine has not, repeat not, been run in the last 20 years and will require an overhaul. The car can be pushed by hand and has four tires that hold air. The body is just starting to show rust again with small bubbles starting along the bottom of the doors and the top of the rear wheel wells. I tried to take pictures of the rust areas to show the true condition of the car. Most of the rubber seals along the windows and doors have dried out and will require replacement, but all of the glass is in good shape. The exhaust will require a complete replacement.
I have a clear Michigan Title to the vehicle and an original Jaguar ignition key. The car is located in the Jackson Michigan
