The car is in really nice clean condition, as I write on the 22nd March 2007. No visible rust, shines like new and goes like the clappers.

Upgrades include:
Luminition.
Sports Coil.
Moto-Lita Steering Wheel
Solid-State Fuel Pump
Powerful Brakes Kevlar Pads
Stainless Steel Hoses
Overhauled Engine new valves etc.
Stainless Steel Exhaust.
Headlamp Bulbs.
Pioneer MP3 CD 4X50W Stereo Receiver/Player.
Pewter Skull Gear Knob.
Head Rests from Series III.
Over-Ride switch for twin cooling fans.
BMW Wing Mirror (Replace useless Sports-Cones)

Engine runs silent and cool. Starts second time.
Used almost daily and feels safe, fast and fun to drive.
No oil leaks.
No water loss.
No problems.

This car did pop a valve and caused me some concern. This was all sorted by a local Lancashire enthusiastic E-Type specialist called Michael Fare whose number I will be pleased to pass to anyone who emails me. He sorted the valves out, tuned her up and made my car into a machine that I can use every day. I highly recommend Michael and he not a rip off merchant and I am sure we have all met those!

Great to see an E-Type used as it was meant to be. Beautiful country, too.

The car is used during the summer months for touring round the UK. Many photographs on this site show the car in beauty spots from Scotland to North Wales and even the Isle of Man. This car really goes and is great fun.

For Sale, asking price 26950GBP : www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C286657

This car drives really well qnd it is a head turner believe me. E-Type Series II 2+2 of which only 870 were built. Of this model in Automatic there are 66 on the road in UK. (see www howmanyleft.com) Car was 1969 build and registered 1970 in Cream with Black Leather piped with white leather interior. The car has been upgraded with sensible options, New Petrol Pump, Luminition, Sports Coil, New Alternator, Powerful uprated brakes, Stainless Steel brake pipes, New Valves for Unleaded Petrol, Mota-Lita steering wheel etc. New front end shock absorbers. Wire Wheels. Pirelli P400 Tyres as new. Stainless Steel Exhaust. Front end chrome just rechromed. Bonnet bare metal sorted and treated, new door skins, rear door just fully sorted new fittings, respray etc. The rear brakes and diff were fully sorted with new suspension last year. New headlining interior. Over £10K spent on step by step refurbishment by recognised E-Type specialist.

I have personally driven this car over 10,000 miles in last six years touring the UK. Mileage is 85,000 with huge history file to support. View the car in action along an English country lane:

www.youtube.com/watch

All original numbers. Heritage certificate and UK car built in September 1969 and supplied to P.J. Evans in Birmingham October 1969.

The condition is not concours, this is not a trolly dolly the car goes and drives wonderfully well. The condition is excellent and the entire car is sound. I have had this car maintained to a high standard by a recognised E-Type expert and it was upgraded by Lanes Cars in 2006. The engine is sound and I had the valves sorted to allow for unleaded petrol.

If you are looking for an E-Type that will take you on tour anywhere and get you back safe then this is it. I have driven the car over HardKnott Pass in The Lake District round 1 in 3 inclines with S bends and The most difficult road in Britain, this car never flinched and did the route no problem. There is an over-ride switch on to two fans mounted on the radiator and never had any trouble with this getting hot. It has been everywhere, up The Highlands, Wales and runs perfect. There are hundreds of images of this car taken all over the UK at this site: www.xkedata.com just type in the chasis number 1r35572 The lastest tour was round Cumbria and there are pictures on that site of the car in The Lake District.

Be sensible about the offers. This car has just had a complete rebuild of the diff, the back brakes etc. It has a new MOT, has been tuned up, had the tripple SUs sorted, has a brand new fuel pump and it drives like an E-Type should. Seriously, if you want a real E-Type, Certifiacted the Full-Monty, one that works, is realiable and will do the job it was designed for then this is that car.
