    Ebay item 8/20/12
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $10,000 reserve not met, 9 bids 5 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
Wonderful, unrestored, matching numbers, 1969 Jaguar E-Type Coupe finished in Regency red. This is a car that checks all the boxes and with the price of series 1 E-Types appreciating to astronomical numbers, this is an example that certainly makes for a wise investment.

The body on the car is solid and original. The paint retains good depth and shows only slight imperfections. The correct wire wheels with red wall tires adds that elegant flare. The chrome, rubber, and glass are all in good shape.. The original biscuit interior is good shape with the leather seats showing a light wear. The underside of the car is solid and straight. This is a very good quality driver that has not been modified or molested.

This Jaguar runs great; it has been well maintained and taken care of throughout its life. It drives very tight with all mechanical and electronic components working as they should.Everything seems to operate properly and there are no mechanical or electrical issues to note. The only thing to list would be the AC which needs to be recharged, other then that the car is in great mechanical shape and should provide years of worry free driving.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
