Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au 24 March 2022 asking AUD$129,900. Car is located in Adelaide, South Australia. Seller’s description (edited) follows:
1969 Jaguar E-type 2+2 with manual transmission. 98,613 miles showing.
Originally a LHD vehicle imported some years ago from the USA and converted to RHD.
After-market air conditioning that works.
Further note by Clive: The data plate is obviously a re-stamped aftermarket plate showing (impossibly) the same Body Number as Car Number (see photo). Also, the data plate Car Number has a BW suffix indicating, if correct, that this car left the factory with an automatic transmission. Data plate shows Engine Number 7R35928-9 which could be original.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
