Ebay item 8/19/11

Current bid $1,125 reserve not met, 5 bids 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $2,500.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-type - XKE 2+2 wifes daily driver rolled back in the mid 1970's by the husband after a few too many. Parked next to the garage for 30+ years under several tarps. Parts were given away over the years as this family owned several show quality E-Types, and parts were stripped by the local club members back when they were not worth as much as today. The car was not turned in to any insurance and I have a clear Oregon title (not branded or salvage). The car likely has low mileage but the speedo is long gone.

What it has:
Title, complete rear axle, shocks, and brakes. Drive line, motor, and transmission. Wheels are rusty but the hubs are good and all wheels operate (not rusted onto the hubs so they come off fine). The frame section on the front is straight but the hood hinge/radiator mount is bent slightly to the right but would be easy to straighten.

What it does not have:
front shocks, front calipers, the bonnet assembly is gone. Wiper motor, door handles, alternator, brake master cylinder, coil, front seats/rear cushions, steering wheel. drivers door panel, tach, speedo, clock, carpets, spare tire and cover, heater blower motor, part of the air cleaner, radio, radiator and fans, bumpers, rear stop lights, arm rest, ignition key.

I will also throw in a second engine and transmission from an XJ6, it also sat in a shed for 20+ years, but still has oil in the crankcase! Was removed for a V8 conversion.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
