This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a 2+2 coupe which is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and was acquired by its current owner in October 2016 from his father, who had purchased it in 2011. A color change was carried out under previous ownership, while new red leather front seat covers were installed by the current owner. Other recent work is said to have included refurbishment of the steering rack, brake calipers, and brake booster along with replacement of the carburetor float valves in July 2019. Modifications consist of a stainless steel exhaust system and a Kenwood cassette player. The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors and was factory-rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. An aftermarket alternator has been installed, and the carburetor float valves are said to have been replaced in July 2019. The seller notes that the engine idles roughly on cold starts and a coolant leak is present near the radiator.

Engine block stamp 7R371499 matches that listed on the chassis tag. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Borg Warner BW-8 three-speed automatic transmission.
