I bought this wonderful car from John Putnick on 11-19-2010.
It is as rust free as any I have ever seen. The interior is all original as described above. It appears to have been painted at some time. It needs some minor TLC such as belt and hose replacement, but otherwise shows every sign of having been a well loved and cared for car. I love it!

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 coupe presented in a beautiful and original Regency Red over black leather interior. Everything from the body and paint to the mechanical and electronic components is right on this classic Jaguar. It is a concourse winning car that turns heads wherever you take it and is one of the best driver quality Jaguar coupes on the market today. We will try to be as thorough in our description as possible but most of the items we list will be us nitpicking on the car to insure you get the best description possible about what you are bidding on. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
Mechanical
This Jaguar runs great; it has been well maintained and taken care of throughout its life. It drives very tight with all mechanical and electronic components working as they should. All the buttons inside operate properly and there are no mechanical or electrical issues to note. The only thing to list would be the AC which we are told is good working order but needs a belt to become functional, other then that the car is in great mechanical shape and should provide years of worry free driving.
Interior
The interior is great overall condition, the dash is in very good shape with no warping or loose pieces, and the headliner, carpets and instrument panel are also all in amazing shape. The seats are in good shape with only the driver's seat showing any significant wear, the back seats are above average but have minor imperfections that are only noticeable if the car is examined closely. The door panels and boot look almost untouched. It also has the original radio in place.
Body
The body on the car is in exceptional shape, there are no signs whatsoever of rust or any prior damage to the vehicle. The panels line up as they should and the car has good straight lines all the way through. There is no bondo or filler and surprisingly no dents or dings anywhere to be found.
Paint and trim
The paint is in amazing overall condition, it has a great shine to it and although not original it was extremely well done and well taken care of. The chrome is in great shape as well with no pitting and only some very very minor hairline scratches on a couple of the pieces (could not capture them with the camera). There are a couple of chips that have been filled in the paint (photographed below) they are very minor and only visible upon thorough inspection of the vehicle.
This Jaguar is an exceptional piece of history; it has survived as a rust free and mechanically well taken care of E-type coupe that will not dissapoint. The score sheet from the 2011 Jaguar Club North America Northeast Ohio Concourse where it won in the D3 drivers class is included in the pictures for your review.

Hi Chase,
I sold the e-type to Andy. The last concourse I showed it I won with a 9.97.
Had the highest score in C01-D03 that year. Needed a third win to take the national title and fell ill the night before I was going to Va. for the last show. Hope she is still doing well. I miss it terribly. Would never have given her up, but financial constraints due to becoming disabled forced me to.

Ebay item 6/25/21
www.xkedata.com/cars/detail/. The paint is older but is still looking very good with no sun damage and minimal oxidation. there are odd chips here and there but nothing severe, most notable is the one on the nose of the hood which happened recently, I wanted to get it repaired but my body shop of choice has a two year waiting list for new projects, and I just couldn't wait that long to get the car sold. Unfortunately a few months ago it suffered a full delamination of the driver's side rear tire, which caused numerous small chips on the rear quarter, it isn't glaring but it will definitely need to be addressed at some point. There is absolutely zero rust in this car. Mechanical- I have had very few mechanical issues with this car over the years. It did just receive a new brake master cylinder, plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap last year and the clutch slave cylinder was replaced a few years ago. There is no smoke on startup and no noticeable oil consumption. It has been known to drip a little oil if it sits without running for a while, which is normal. The dual electric cooling fans work as they should, and the carburetors have never been temperamental, which is a blessing. It does have a factory R12 air conditioning system but it is in need of a charge and probably re-sealing, the blower fan works fine. The tires are brand new with less than 200 miles on them, after one of the old tires failed with no visible provocation I went ahead and replaced all of them just to be safe. Miscellaneous- I will include all of the original manuals and warrantee paperwork that came with the car from the dealership where it was originally sold in San Diego, CA. along with any and all service records I have. This really is a fantastic car, I have enjoyed owning it immensely and am very sad to see it go.
