Ebay item 3/22/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-FHC-1969-FHC-4-6-E-Type-Big-Cat-needs-a-ho ...
Current bid $1,025 reserve not met, 4 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I've owned this car since 2002, with the intention to restore and drive her. Unfortunately, once she was drivable, I realised that an automatic just wasn't what I wanted.

The car came from someone who'd used it as his daily driver until he decided to take it off the road. Apparently it was parked, and the windows weren't closed properly which led to cats destroying the interior. We were also told that the paint discolouration on the nose was the result of water dripping constantly onto the car. The body is straight other than the minor damage you see in the photographs above the left headlamp and on the nose.
We had the following work done to the car prior to me deciding to sell her - new tires, brakes replaced, carburettors rebuilt, engine serviced, gaskets replaced. She runs and drives, but has not been driven for the past 8+ months. The car and interior are both original, but as you can see from the pictures, the interior needs to be replaced.Car is presently registered as non-operational.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
