I bought this car and thought that it was in really, really good shape. Well, I was fooled. First was a transmission rebuild, it wasn't too bad, a broken torque converter tore out the front seal and dumped the transmission fluid out. It didn't damage the transmission, but a rebuild was done and a rebuilt torque converter put in.

Then the shop also looked at the hole in the drivers side floor. Well, he came back and told me that to his surprise the entire drivers side sill was filled with bondo and he was breaking out the chunks in 1/2" think pieces. That required replacing the majority of the inner and the entire outer sill and all the expense involved in that . I'm told that this the most common rust spot on the E-Types. Oh well, the work is done now and I am very happy with the very good quality of the repair. I absolutly reccomend Sporty Car Garage, Springfield, Ohio - 937-322-6223

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
