Opening bid $1,000, no reserve, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 coupe. Just 69,322 original miles. His father purchased this jaguar from the original owner in 1980. Has always been garaged kept. Since he past away 6 years ago he has driven it less than 100 miles. He's a hot rodder at heart, so he figured he would sell it to somebody who will enjoy it. The silver paint it factory original (paint is checked). The red leather interior is original and in perfect condition. 4.2L inline 6 engine with rebuilt carbs. The points have been replaced with an electronic ignitor. New brakes, brake booster and all fluids. New a/c compressor and battery. This is a factory ac car. The chrome is in very nice condition as is all of the stainless. No dings or dents, and no rust. Original rims, automatic transmission shifts great. This jaguar runs excellent, just needs a new owner who will enjoy it.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
