Current bid US $13,000, no reserve, 19 bids 6 days left in auction. Seller asouthern1, 54k miles.

Sellers description:
Solid Southern 1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2. The car is Light Blue with Dark Blue Interior, has the 4.2L 6 Cylinder engine with automatic transmission, chrome wire wheels, and air conditioning. The car was sold new on December 19, 1969 at Foreign Car City Inc., Birmingham Alabama, to a W.C. Jernigin of Leeds Alabama. Jernigin owned United Chair Company. He sold the car to Johny Mac McPoland of Jasper Alabama. Mr McPoland sold the car to Cindy M. Rowland of Jasper Alabama, sometime in 1976. Cindy sold the car to D.J. Schoolcraft of Hoover Alabama, in August of 1984. Mr. Schoolcraft owned the car for 32 years until I bought the car.

Mr Schoolcraft put the car in dry storage about 17 years ago with only 54,890 miles on the odometer. The car does start and run good, will drive on and off a trailer, and around the parking lot but will need brake work. It has been painted 1 time back to the original color several years ago. The car shows great patina and does shine. The car is extremely solid with only one spot of rust about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long on the passenger floor pan. The rest of the car is unreal solid and original! This is an all matching numbers car. The original heat shield between the exhaust manifolds, and the brake fluid reservoir is still in tact! I have a Jaguar Heritage Certificate showing the following info:

Make and model Jaguar E-type Series 2 4.2 litre

Original distributor British Leyland, New York, USA
Date of dispatch 20 May 1969

The car is selling with NO RESERVE

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
