I was born in 1960 and my boys' dream nine years later. Bought the Jag in Feb 2006 through Ebay, I shipped it and it arrived in the Netherlands in April 2006. In the meantime, the body has been welded (almost 500 hours), and painted in the original color. She's back on her wheels now, and right at this moment the engine is being overhauled completely and I'm expecting to have it back in the car around the end of Jan!! I keep track of the restoration on my website, www.etypejaguar42.nl . You're invited for a visit!

I bought this car in Feb 2006 from Miami FL, shipped it to the Netherlands where it arrived in April 2006. I'm presently restoring my 'boys dream', which is taking some time, as you can imagine from the pics above! See for my website www.etypejaguar42.nl . If anyone knows anything from the history of my Etype, please let me know or update the data!

My 'boys dream' will be restored originally. Good but concours won't be necessary: it will be a driving machine!

February 2008: the car's body is completed and ready for the paint job! A few painters came by, were very impressed by what they saw and really interested to do the job! Check my website: www.etypejaguar42.nl .

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
