    Ebay item 12/27/04
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $6,300, 14 bids, 7 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 for sale. Only 40 miles on rebuilt engine. New clutch, brakes (calipers, rotors, lines). Rebuilt brake and clutch slave cylinders. New front shocks. New stainless steel exhaust. Wire wheels with Jag knock offs are in great shape. Drivers side floor was replaced. Car was stripped to bare metal and repainted. The shop did not properly treat some of the surface areas for rust. As a result there are a few places the paint is starting to bubble. The body is in very good shape overall. There is one small hole by the passenger side marker light. The interior is new (sat in twice) and the numbers match. I'm selling the car because restoring my "dream car" in the end turned into a two year "death by papercut" ordeal. I grew to hate the car. I ended up putting a cover over it and started it periodically. It really needs to be driven. WHAT STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE: 1. Install the driver and passenger side interior door panels. The new panels and clips come with the car. 2. Install the bottom piece of chrome around windscreen and three pieces around drivers side headlamp. Chrome pieces come with the car. 3. Front marker lights needs to be installed. Both bases come with car along with one lens. The lenses are the same as for an MGB and are available. 4. The lights need hooking up to the wiring harness. The wires and clips are there. The body shop painted over the wires and they need to be cleaned to match up the wire colors. 5. The windscreen wiper blades need to be installed. The wipers work. I do not have the chrome bezel pieces (a new set is $35). One horn does not work. All the pieces except the hoses to the air condioning are there and come with the car. The compressor seems free but I make no promises. As you can see, a weekends work will take care of all these little things. I have purchased a TVR and its time someone else enjoyed the time and money invested in this car. Properly treating the surface rust areas and a repaint will give you a very nice mechanically sound car to enjoy for years to come.
The drivers side floor pans and cross members have also been replaced. In 1969 the engines were de-tuned to meet emission requirements. When the engine was rebuilt I had it built to 1967 specs (adding approximately 50 hp). The camshafts and distributor were replaced with '67 parts. I recently sold the triple carb setup and replaced with original strombergs. I will include two rebuild kits for the carbs and a gallon of paint.

Triple SU conversion, “new” front and rear ends, Beautiful paint

This 1969 Jaguar E-type 2+2 has been converted to triple SU carburation per earlier models. The car is very clean with fine paint. The front and rear ends have been redone in first-class manner by previous owner and I have only put on a handful of miles. All receipts for tens of thousands of dollars of work by previous owner, The engine runs well and starts immediately, good compression test. New wheels, exhaust, chrome, etc.
