Hammer Price £12000.00
Mileage 62635
Colour RED
Trim Colour BLACK
Chassis No IR43346BW

M.O.T JULY 2006
Finished in red with black leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in good condition with regard to its engine, three-speed automatic gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim, chassis, bodywork and wheels / tyres. Beginning life in America, it is said to have been "converted to RHD by an expert". In the current ownership for approximately eight years, it apparently benefits from "very good panel fit with excellent paintwork and no rust". Riding on chrome wire wheels, the Jaguar is understood to "start and drive superbly". Showing an indicated mileage of 62,635 which may well be genuine given the comparative lack of wear to its "original upholstery", it is reportedly used on a regular basis. A stylish yet practical E-type, it is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until July 13th 2006 and historic class (free) road tax until July 2006.

Auction description:
Lot No: 209
1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 2+2 Coupé
Registration no. OBV 672H
Chassis no. 1R43346BW
Sold for £20,700 inclusive of Buyer's Premium
Having spent most of its life in the USA, this Series 2 2+2 Coupé was imported into the UK in 1998, as an original, rust-free car, for expert conversion to right-hand drive. 'OBV 672H' has had four owners since it was imported and is said to benefit from good panel fit with excellent paintwork and no rust. Riding on chromed wheels, this practical 2+2 starts and drives superbly, being used on a regular basis by the current owner and taking part in the E-Type's 50th Anniversary celebrations at Silverstone this year. An automatic transmission model finished in red with black leather interior, the car is offered with a quantity of expired MoT certificates, current road fund licence, MoT to September 2012 and Swansea V5 registration document.

On sale again for £38,000 with Vintage & Prestige
www.vintagerollsroycecars.com/car-details/1970-e-type-series-2-fixed-head-coupe- ...
1970 E Type Series 2 fixed head coupe automatic.
Chassis Number: P1R43346BW
Registration number: AE28 (does not go with car but available.)
A very nice & useably patinated series 2 coupe. The current owner has a collection of fine cars & has kept this as his most used car, not quite as a daily driver, but certainly seeing more use then his other cars. The number plate is of London to Brighton Vintage & is available by separate negotiation.
The car is finished in red with the paintwork being in generally good condition all round. To the interior is original black hide showing some minor wear but in very serviceable condition. The camera shows the red as being a little more bright & red then it is in reality.
The car is an automatic version making for relaxed high speed cruising. Indeed the car drives very very well running all day long with more modern motorway traffic being persuaded to vacate the fast lane on a regular basis.
If you are looking for concours then this is not your car. If you are looking for a good regular driver that has been properly looked after then come & see it as it fits the bill. Indeed I was surprised at how much I enjoyed driving it back after collecting it. The car needs nothing & is ready for extended use.
