Owner: JJ Knight

I purchased this vehicle from a fellow who was trading it in for a 1972 Mercury, Cougar. He had just had his first child and needed a larger vehicle. I asked him how much the dealer was giving him for his vehicle. He told me and I offered him a hundred dollars more and that I would pay the difference in the sales tax. We made the deal. It was one of the best deals I've ever made. The fellow has tried to purchase it back for a number of years now.

It seems as though the most recent information about my vehicle has ONE bit of information wrong. The car is original. The original EXTERIOR  color is "Regency Red." Applied on the assembly line. And, yes, the interior is black. Yes, the vehicle was in Michigan back in 1971. I had purchased it in Spring of 1972. I happen to be from New Jersey.

Recent information state the vehicle was titled in 1971. I purchased the vehicle is 1972. The vin number 1R7001 was taken from the title. Not sure where the wrong color and year of the vehicle came from.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
